I’m sure the brides in most of these clips weren’t thrilled AT ALL that their wedding mishaps were caught forever on video, but hopefully they were able to look back and laugh at some point. The first one was definitely the shocker for me!

If you’re a 25-year-old whose parents have incredibly rudely stopped giving you your monthly allowance, don’t expect too much sympathy from Spain’s courts. The mooching man took mom and dad to court after they stopped forking over the $588 they had been giving him each month. Their condition: No money until you start looking for a job. The judge’s ruling: Move out within 30 days.  The judge added that while the man’s slow pursuit of a law degree meant he would not be ready to enter that field for several years, he thought the 25-year-old was still capable of finding some kind of employment.

Prince William married Kate Middleton at Westminster Abbey this morning as an estimated worldwide audience of 2 billion people watched.  William wore the scarlet tunic of an Irish Guards officer, in showing his devotion to the military. While Kate wore a vintage-inspired v-neck ivory gown by Alexander McQueen’s Sarah Burton.  Kate’s wedding shoes were also created by the Alexander McQueen team. The duchess’ satin shoes were hand-embroidered with lace at the Royal School of Needlework in Surrey, UK.  She wore a Cartier tiara, loaned to her by the Queen. And Middleton’s parents bought her matching Robinson Pelham earrings.  Celebrity guests in attendance were David and Victoria Beckham, Elton John, Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean) and Madonna’s ex Guy Ritchie all wearing festive hats.  Kate Middleton’s official title is not Princess but Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge, while Prince William is now His Royal Highness The Duke of Cambridge.

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Meredith Vieira is stepping down as co-host of the “Today” show on NBC.  She will remain on the show until June which is 3 months before the end of her contract.  Meredith will reportedly be replaced by Ann Curry and correspondent Natalie Morales will be promoted to Ann’s spot. Meredith took the Today Show spot in 2006 but has grown weary of the early hours, and has a husband who is ill who she’d like to spend more time with.

Congratulations to Mad Men star January Jones who is expecting her first child this fall.  The father remains a mystery but her rep says: “She’s really looking forward to this new chapter in her life as a single mom.”
