Coming soon: The mambo, ‘Jersey Shore’ style?   The Situation is said to be in secret negotiations to appear on the next season of “Dancing with the Stars.” TMZ reports the deadline for negotiations is Monday. The Sitch’s manager, Mike Petolino, claims, “There are no plans for DWTS at this moment.”

George Clooney’s girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis is said to be “distraught” over claims that she used cocaine inside a couple of nightclubs.  The Italian TV host was linked to a nightclub cocaine and prostitution ring. A pal says “George is standing by her…. In Milan, everyone is talking about this. It’s a huge scandal and we think more celebrities will be named.” The pal never once saw Clooney’s girlfriend do anything illegal, “but she’s always the life and soul of the party. She’s a fun girl.” The pal added, “A lot of girls would come out of bathroom stalls sniffing and they would check their noses in the mirror.”

Gossip blogs have been dishing details from Angelina Jolie’s upcoming unauthorized biography– but TV entertainment shows have steered clear of the gossip.  Andrew Morton’s “Angelina: An Unauthorized Biography” is available tomorrow (Saturday), yet shows like “Extra,” “Access Hollywood,” “Entertainment Tonight” and “The Insider” have ignored it. One publicity director has a theory: Entertainment news shows are worried about losing access to Angelina or Brad Pitt — both among Hollywood’s biggest “gets”. The shows are being intimidated into ignoring the story.  (The “Angelina” books includes the neglect she suffered as an infant by her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, and affairs with Leonardo DiCaprio, Ralph Fiennes, and others.)

TMZ reports that Kara DioGuardi has been fired. Sources say the show will be going back to a three-judge format: Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler.  Producers considered Jennifer Lopez one of the best mentors to ever appear on the show, and she is said to be a huge “Idol” fan. Picking Lopez would give the show a credible music industry figure to replace Ellen DeGeneres, who was criticized for her lack of technical music-critiquing skills. In a way, she’d be more of a replacement for Paula Abdul –  than for Ellen. (The only way Kara could stay, is if the J-Lo deal falls apart — but that deal is done.)

Ellen DeGeneres is leaving “American Idol” after just one season as a judge. Ellen admitted it wasn’t the “right fit.” Ellen Tweeted: “Dim the lights. I’ve voted myself off American Idol. The decision came a couple months ago. It was hard for me to judge people and sometimes hurt their feelings. I am very grateful for the year I had. I am a huge fan of the show and will continue to be.”

Michael Lohan wrote and produced a song for Lindsay, while he was in jail. He had a friend perform the song: 072810_lilo_song

George Clooney’s girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis has been named in a cocaine scandal that led to the arrest of five people in Italy. An investigation was launched in 2008 into two nightclubs in Milan, Italy that were allegedly running an escort and prostitution ring fueled by alcohol and cocaine.

During testimony a model who became a prostitute said that she did cocaine with people including Elisabetta Canalis at the clubs.

Former rejected bachelor and Dancing with the Stars contestant Melissa Rycroft is pregnant, and she says, “It was a shock. We weren’t even trying.” She and her husband, insurance agent Tye Strickland, are expecting their first child in February.

The couple got married in December.

Simon Monjack was apparently spending his late wife Brittany Murphy’s money as fast as he could until he died in May.

Brittany’s former financial advisor says that Simon drained Brittany’s pension fund and bank accounts of hundreds of thousands of dollars at a time. 80% of her hard-earned money is now gone, leaving her mother Sharon with a financially insecure future.

Leonard Decaprio is withdrawing from a Mel Gibson-directed movie about vikings amidst all of the domestic abuse scandal drama. A source close to Leo said: “not a chance,” when asked if he was still planning to star in Mel’s next project.

Many critics are suggesting Mel won’t be able to recover from the Oksana Grigorieva scandal and this new development only supports that theory.
