Steve always asked Slacker a question, “Do parents of multiple children love another child more than another?” Slacker has always said, that was impossible, but now that he has two kids, he has a favorite! He doesn’t know how and finds it really bizarre, but he does…
Is this a common thing? Do you feel guilty?

I know that the topics you come up with for the show are intended to be controversial to cause responses. And I doubt that half of what you both say are your true feelings, that you are doing your “job as a radio personality”. That said…
So many people have children that die in the womb, that are born disfigured, or that die in their arms during infancy.
I hope that Slacker honestly puts aside his extremely immature and childish feelings about the “inconvenience” of his new daughter. Really? He doesn’t feel as attached to her as he does Noah? So?
Having children is an wonderful opportunity to grow up and become a mature adult. What makes Slacker think that his heart only has room for one child? The heart is meant to love many people all in a different way. Each child is different, and unique and beautiful.
I am always amazed at how the people who least appreciate the gift of life are given the gift so freely.

The whole family dynamic changes with a new child and it takes time to adapt to that. I thought I had a favorite when my second was born.. then things change and you learn that they are different and you feel different about each child at different points in their lives and yours. Little babies are rarely as fun for dads when they are used to playing and hanging out with the older kids. Give them time, they smile at you, play and interact and eventually wrap you right around their little finger.
